God’s not like that.
Is there anyone that manages to put you down or insult you or remind you of your weaknesses or that you’re not quite what you should be when they’re around you?
God’s not like that.
He’s full of true love and loving-kindness and patience and hope and knows our true worth and believes in us and is willing to wait on us to develop in our faith. He doesn’t talk about us behind our back or kick us when we’re down and never reminds us of sins we’ve repented of nor does He doubt what we’re capable of even when WE do.
But He can’t help us when we’re out of HIS reach. Because He’s not a bully and doesn’t yank us by the neck to pull us into the family or into a conversation with Him or out of the trouble we got ourselves into.
Instead He waits. And whispers. And watches.
It’s only in His Presence that we find true unselfish friendship and adoption and unconditional love and complete healing for body, soul and spirit.
I hope you can find that secret place to get into His Presence today. And then stay there.
